Day 10 Clove Lodge to Middleton-in-Teesdale

Day 10 Clove Lodge to Middleton-in-Teesdale

Sunday, so we had a bit of a lie-in, with a short day (just about 6 miles) to Middleton.
Back to nice sunny weather today as we set off towards Blackton resevoir.

A signpost for the directionally challenged

Blackton resevoir bridge, regarded by many as THE halfway point of the Pennine Way

Lovely countryside all around, even though some of these remote farms are battery powered

and then by 12:30 were on the outskirts of Middleton-in-Teesdale, 289m of ascent, 6.8 more miles added to the total of almost 147 miles completed and today's overall average of 2.4 mph.

Long day tomorrow, so time to  put the feet up this afternoon.
